Gaming performance Alienware 17in laptop
To test the game performance of X17, we started with Red Dead Redemption 2 and ran a few high-load titles with the highest graphics settings. Native 4K without Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology (which lowers render resolution and uses AI to clean up images), which tends to provide a significant improvement in frame rate in games, worked at 46 frames/second. If you set DLSS to Automatic and do not adjust any other settings, the frame rate at 4K has increased to 60 frames per second. Personally, every game makes the most of DLSS and saves extra frames.
Battery life and Performance
Battery life was not a high priority for Alienware because the X17 is primarily intended for high-speed 4K gaming performance in the connected desktop-class. However, mixed-use of workloads like those mentioned above, with an average of nearly four hours, is not in the worst condition. But it will be hard to find a good reason to carry this heavy laptop from the charger. Weighing about seven pounds, the 330W charger is brick-sized and heavy. However, this power supply can quickly charge the X17 in just an hour from 10% to full charge.
Reliable audio
A good gaming laptop must have reliable audio. It is why the Alien-Wear 17″ laptop comes with two front earphones. One is designed for gaming and can be removed and used with headphones. The other is for listening to music, and you can also connect headphones. These two cans do a great job of providing clear and crisp audio.
A very Reasonable Price tag
The Alien-Ware 17″ laptop is offered at a very reasonable price. It’s not a high-end gaming laptop because it’s sold for just over $1,000.
